The Senate Intelligence Committee invited the former F.B.I. director James B. Comey to testify on reports that President Trump asked him to scuttle the investigation into Michael T. Flynn.
Senators said Wednesday they want former FBI Director James B. Comey and his replacement, acting Director Andrew McCabe, to return and testify about the investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Comey has been invited to testify by two other committees.
