Xiaomi India’s subsidiary Redmi has officially launched its first Fire OS-powered smart TV — the Redmi Smart Fire TV. Based on the Fire OS 7, the Redmi Fire TV offers all the features that one expects from an Amazon Fire TV Stick, including Alexa access with a voice remote.

This affordable smart TV comes with a 32-inch screen size with a narrow bezel design. Priced at Rs 13,999, the Redmi Fire TV will be available on Amazon and Mi.com, starting on 21 March. With bank offers, the Redmi Smart Fire TV will be available for as low as Rs 11,999.

The overall look and aesthetics of the Redmi Smart TV are similar to other 32-inch smart TVs. Due to minimal bezels, the smart TV has a slightly compact form factor when compared to older models. Do note that, this is an HD-ready television with 720p resolution, allowing users to watch HD channels on cable TV, and it also has multiple HDMI ports for connecting external set-top boxes and gaming consoles.

The TV boots with Fire OS 7 and supports all the major OTT apps like Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstar, and Jio Cinema. Similarly, it also has app support for YouTube, and users can download many more apps and games via the Amazon app store. On top of that, users can also sideload Android apps and games onto the Redmi Smart Fire TV.
