Bihar Board Class 12th Exams 2023: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announce the results for the intermediate (Class 12) board exams today. The Bihar Board Inter exam students can check their scores at the official BSEB website — results.biharboardonline.com and interbseb.com.

The overall pass percentage is 83.70%. Before the scores are announced by the Bihar Board, let’s take a look at the frequently asked questions.

This year, girl students have topped the BSEB Inter exams in all three streams. Ayushi Nandan ranked first in the science stream with 474 marks, Mohaddesa topped the arts stream with 475 marks, and Soumya Sharma and Rajnish Kumar Pathak jointly share the first position in the commerce stream with 475 marks.

The BSEB Class 12 exams were conducted from February 1 to 11, 2023.

When will the BSEB declare Class 12 results?

The Bihar School Examination Board officials have not yet announced the date of the Class 12 result declaration. However, it is expected that the intermediate exam results will be released soon.

Like every year, it is expected that the BSEB Chairman will first announce the results in a press conference, after which scores will be uploaded at the official BSEB website.

As per the new marking scheme, the minimum mark that must be obtained to pass the intermediate board exams is 30 in every subject.

At what marks does it qualify as first division in BSEB Class 12 exams?

The first division will be secured by the students who achieve 300 or more marks in total. Students who scored between 225 and 300 will be awarded second division while the third division will be given to the students who scored between 150 to 225 marks.

Were MCQ questions only for Science stream students?

No, under the new exam pattern, the board has introduced more MCQ based questions in all three streams.

What changes were made in the exam pattern this year?

This year, the board increased the number of MCQ-based questions, i.e. subjects including both theory and practical exams had 42 MCQs out of which students had to attempt 35. Question papers carrying 100 marks contained 60 MCQs, out of which students had to attempt 50 questions and 50 marks paper had 30 MCQs, out of which 25 questions had to be attempted.

Do boys score better than girls?

Bihar Board Exams 2023 In 2022, the overall passing percentage was 83.39 per cent for girls and 78.04 per cent for boys. Girls also dominated the Commerce and Arts stream with a passing percentage of 93.89 per cent (88.52 per cent for boys), and 81.28 per cent (76.66 per cent for boys), respectively.

Has the overall pass percentage increased in past 5 years?

The verdict has been mixed as the board has observed several ups and downs in the overall pass percentage over the past five years. According to the data provided by the Bihar Board, while the pass percentage had increased from 79 to 80 per cent in 2020, 2021 had seen a decline to 78 per cent. However, 2022 saw an increase to 80 per cent.
