Sara Ali Khan says she finds it ‘ridiculous’ when people think she is a princess: ‘I don’t associate myself as a royal’

In an interview with The Hindu, the actor said, “I find it ridiculous when people think that. I don’t associate myself as a royal.” Sharing how she is very much a Mumbai girl, she added, “I’ve lived in Juhu in Mumbai most of my life with my mother. I go to Bandra to meet my dad. I holiday in Himachal Pradesh and Kedarnath and Jammu and Kashmir. Like seriously, I don’t know what royal means.”

Sara’s Gaslight will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar from March 31. Her next release will be Laxman Utekar’s untitled film with Vicky Kaushal. The actor is now shooting Homi Adajania’s next Mubarak, which is a murder mystery also featuring Karisma Kapoor. After which she’ll start start work on Ae Watan Mere Watan, where she plays Indian freedom fighter and underground radio broadcaster Usha Mehta. Directed by Kannan Iyer, the film will premiere on Prime Video later this year.
