Actor Nani’s latest film, Dasara, is having a good run in theatres. After opening with Rs 38 crore (gross) globally, the film has been performing well consistently. On its fifth day of release, the action drama managed a nett collection of Rs 4 crore across India.
The industry tracker Sacnilk reported that Dasara had a 19.34% occupancy in the Telugu-speaking market and 12.02% occupancy in the Tamil-speaking market. In the Hindi market, the film is facing tough competition from Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa. But to survive the competition, the makers of Dasara have slashed the ticket prices of the Hindi version.
On Monday, the makers shared, “A big news for all cinema lovers!😍 Team #Dasara treat their audience by pricing the tickets for the Hindi version at just Rs.112/- from Monday to Thursday! 😍. Come lets watch and celebrate this #DhoomDhaam film at its best.” But it seems like the move has not been fruitful as the film had only 9.42% occupancy in the Hindi-speaking market.

Dasara had earned Rs 87 crore worldwide (gross) in four days and is now eyeing the Rs 100 crore mark at the global box office. Going by the trends, it looks like the film will achieve this feat on its fifth day of release.
Meanwhile, Dasara, written and directed by debutant Srikanth Odela, has impressed the audience and film critics alike. The Indian Express’ review of the film read, “Dasara is a heartfelt attempt from the makers. Can be watched for the authentic dialect, and raw and gritty performances from the lead.” SS Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu, Lakshmi Manchu, Prabhas and several other celebrities have also heaped praises on the film.
