Three shot, one fatally, Saturday afternoon on Detroit's west side

Detroit police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday afternoon on the city's west side.

Officers responded to the incident around 4:23 p.m. Saturday in the area of West Chicago and Greenfield Road.

Medics pronounced one victim dead at the scene, according to DPD. Two others were transported to a local hospital.

Only preliminary information was available Sunday afternoon but the incident is being investigated by the Detroit Police Homicide Division, officials said. They encourage anyone with information about the shooting to contact Detroit Police at 313-596-2260.
