Detroit man charged with murder in August double homicide
A Detroit man has been charged with fatally shooting two men during a fight in August, according to prosecutors.
Deshaun Darvon Currie, 22, allegedly got into an altercation with K’Von Thompson-Doze, 21, and Jamal Gibson, 20, at about 11 p.m. Aug. 13 in an alley in the 5080 block of Fredro Street in Detroit, according to a press release from the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
Currie allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Thompson-Doze and Gibson.
Gibson was taken to the hospital and died several days later, on Aug. 16. Thompson-Doze was pronounced dead when he got to the hospital.
Currie was arrested Sept. 15. He was charged with two counts of felony murder, two counts of premeditated first-degree murder, one count of lying to the police and four counts of felony firearm.
