Maya Jama sent fans into a frenzy as she spoke about her own love life during the Love Island All Stars final.

Love Islanders Molly Smith and Tom Clare were crowned winners of the ITV2 series as host Maya crowned them during a live show from South Africa on Monday night. Ahead of the winners being annouced, Maya sat down for a chat with Molly, Tom, Jess Gale and Callum Jones.

During their chat, Maya opened up on her own romance with rapper Stormzy. The couple rekindled their romance last summer after years apart from each other. She shared an insight into the pressure of public opinion on relationships, as she talked to Callum about the public wanting him to reconnect with Molly while in the villa.

The pair had met each other during their seies of Love Island and remained together until their shock split last year. A clip was played of the boys finding out the UK public had been urging them to get together despite being coupled with other people. Maya told Callum: "It did seem to come as a bit of a shock to you Callum when you heard the public wanted you two to get back together."

She then opened up: "I mean I can relate, I had a lot of people saying I should get back with my ex and sometimes it is just not what you're ready for." Maya was met with a huge cheer from the audience as she added: "He is over there so it worked out in the end." Fans quickly took to X - formerly Twitter - where they reacted to Maya's comment.

One said: "Maya wants Callum and Molly to see the light, even brought up how she went back to her Stormzy, she’s one of us." Another added: "Maya jama wanting the callum and molly train to happen mentioning stormzy." Someone else commented: "maya mentioning stormzy (an ex she got back with) and hinting at Molly & Callum." A fourth quipped: "not maya using her and stormzy as encouragement."

Callum and Molly had first started dating after meeting on Love Island back in 2020 during season six of the show. They went on to date for three and a half years before splitting - leaving fans devastated. Both signed up for the All Stars spin-off of the show - oblivious to the fact the other would be in the villa.

Maya went her separate way from Stormzy back in 2019 when endless rumours were swirling that the rapper had been unfaithful to the Bristol-born beauty. Despite the allegations, Stormzy vehemently denied ever cheating on Maya with the Vossi Bop hit-maker confessing he simply had not treated Maya how she deserved to be treated.

Last year, Maya and Stormzy delighted fans after reconnecting on holiday in Greece. They are now firmly back together, with Stormzy jetting out to South Africa to support Maya during the Love Island All Stars final. A source told MailOnline: "It's no secret that he's a huge fan of the show and he knows how much it will mean to Maya, as well as the cast and crew, to show his face. Maya and Stormzy don't often join each other at work but when they can, it's something they love to do and his presence in the audience during the live final is a show first and will definitely add to the excitement on the night."
