A very Instagram-friendly, California cool bungalow is hitting the market in Venice Beach to the tune of $1.995M.
Instagram-friendly because it’s owned by the social media platform’s vp of global partnerships Charles Porch, who has just put the three-bedroom, one-bath house on the market. Clocking in at a cozy 1,294-square-feet, the residence got a makeover by Jed Lind Interiors and was staged by designer Kirsten Blazek of a1000xbetter.
“There’s so much to love about this home,” says listing agent Cari Field of Compass, “but if I have to choose I’d say its charm and functionality are my favorite elements. It’s a Spanish bungalow where inspiring design meets livability, flooded with light and seamless indoor-outdoor living.

In his job at Instagram, Porch works with everyone and everything from fashion weeks, the Met Gala and the NBA to Beyoncé and Jenna Lyons and across such categories as entertainment, news, media and music.
Built in 1925 and located just east of Lincoln Boulevard, the light-filled house, according to listing info, “fuses Parisian elegance with the relaxed style of California modernism.” Design details include coved ceilings, hardwood floors, dual-paned windows and light fixtures from Atelier De Troupe and Petite Friture.
“The home’s interiors can be described as “Califrench” — blending Charles’ French heritage with laid back coastal California style, while feeling elevated and modern,” adds Field.
The home also includes a chef’s kitchen with quartz counters and a Bertazzoni range. A family room, which features a built-in couch, could be converted to a third bedroom. Outdoors, there’s a deck with a seating area under a steel pergola, plus a two-car garage.
Field also touts the home’s location, describing the residence as “nestled in the lively yet residential East of Lincoln neighborhood and half a block from Superba,” says Field. “The home is close to trendsetting dining, shopping and an Erewhon as well as the beach, offering unmatched convenience and the ability to live car free in L.A.”
