Throwback: When Shahid Kapoor admitted that he was 'semi-embarrassed’ about the 14-year age gap between him and Mira Rajput

Shahid Kapoor, renowned for his acting prowess, broke a million hearts when he tied the knot with Mira Rajput in 2015. The duo had an arranged marriage. Reflecting on the wedding, Shahid had shared that at 33-34 he felt a sense of loneliness despite his success in the film industry and his desire for a family led him to embrace the idea of marriage, ultimately finding Mira, who appreciated him beyond his celebrity status.
Addressing the 14-year age gap between them, Shahid initially felt a hint of embarrassment. Speaking to Humans of Bombay, Shahid had shared last year, "When I met her, she was just 20 and I was 34. First of all, I thought she was too young. I was semi-embarrassed at that time. But once we started talking, she was very mature and very sure of herself.”
Reflecting on their nearly 8-year marriage, Shahid had expressed, "You go through so many different phases and you grow together. Children happen and as we enter different phases, we will see each other and the relationship growing and evolving. You have to navigate it a little once in a while. You have to always be collaborative about the process. You will go through phases you don’t get each other and you will have to sit down and understand each other. Once you cross that phase, you are so much stronger." Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput have two kids – Misha and Zain Kapoor.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shahid Kapoor has recently got his fans hooked with his latest cinematic piece - 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.' Released on February 9, the movie features Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the lead. It is an unusual love story between a human and a robot.
