A train passenger allegedly touched himself inappropriately while travelling across the Midlands. Police are investigating after reports a man carried out the act onboard a train.

He is said to have been travelling between Birmingham New Street and Bescot Stadium in Walsall. A man was sitting opposite a woman in her early twenties on the train, British Transport Police said.

He then started to touch himself inappropriately. The alleged offence took place between 5.30pm and 6pm on Wednesday, September 20.

A probe has since been launched. Officers have now released an image of a man they believe can help them with their investigation.
