Eddie Brennan asked and answered an interesting question on these pages on Monday. ‘If you’re Tipperary, do you want to show your hand to Limerick right now?’ he pondered while reflecting on their league clash last Saturday night.

His answer? ‘If you want to pull the rug from under them (Limerick), you’re keeping things under wraps until it matters most.’
