Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams seems to be making his preference clear.
On Thursday, Adams reposted a picture on his Instagram story of quarterback prospect Jayden Daniels, who's widely expected to be a top-3 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft at the end of April.
Adams reposted a quote graphic in which Daniels says, "My resume speaks for itself," which was initially posted by The Checkdown on Instagram.
Adams' post seems to be speaking for itself, too.
The Raiders are entering the 2024 season with a big question mark at quarterback.
The team released the high-paid Jimmy Garoppolo as well as his veteran backup, Brian Hoyer, this offseason.
Conversely, they signed journeyman quarterback Gardner Minshew to a two-year, $25 million deal, and he will join second-year quarterback Aidan O'Connell, who started 10 games for the Raiders last season.
As of now, it will be a competition between O'Connell and Minshew, but Adams seems to have his eyes elsewhere.
Daniels is coming off a Heisman-winning 2023 season with the LSU Tigers.
The 23-year-old put up monster numbers last season, throwing for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns to just four interceptions. He also ran for another 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Daniels is widely regarded as the second-best quarterback in the draft behind USC's Caleb Williams, who won the Heisman Trophy in 2022.
With Williams expected to go No. 1 overall to the Chicago Bears, the Raiders would likely have to trade up to No. 2 to secure Daniels.
The Raiders have the No. 13 pick in the first round of the draft, and have a pick in every round with two picks in the seventh.
It would take a haul to trade up with the Washington Commanders for the No. 2 pick, but the Raiders could part with a future first-round pick to make it happen.
The Raiders' biggest splash this offseason came in the form of defensive lineman Christian Wilkins, whom they signed to a four-year, $110 million deal.
The Raiders also added Minshew and running backs Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullah. They will replace the All-Pro Josh Jacobs, who left for the Green Bay Packers in free agency.
Minshew had a solid 2023 season with the Indianapolis Colts, going 7-6 in 13 starts and throwing for 3,305 yards and 15 touchdowns to nine interceptions. Minshew ended up making the Pro Bowl, but his Colts just missed the playoffs, finishing at 9-8.
As for O'Connell, he went 5-5 in his 10 starts, and threw for 2,218 yards with 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Adams is entering year three of a five-year, $140 million contract he signed with the Raiders.
He's already had five different quarterbacks throw him a pass, with Derek Carr, Jarrett Stidham, O'Connell, Garoppolo and Hoyer rounding out the group.
After an All-Pro season in 2022 with Carr and Stidham, reeling in 100 catches for 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns, Adams had a down year by his standards in 2023: 103 catches for 1,144 and eight touchdowns, his fewest since 2019.
The Raiders have a lot of decisions to make in the coming weeks, but one of them will be making sure their star wide receiver is happy.
Would they trade up in the draft to get Adams his presumed guy?
The answer to that will have to reveal itself by Thursday, April 25, the first round of the NFL Draft.
