Australian musician G Flip has opened up about an unforgettable experience with Taylor Swift.

Despite not securing an opening spot for Swift's highly anticipated Eras Tour, G Flip, whose full name is Georgia Flipo, received a gesture from the pop icon that left a lasting impression.

The Be Your Man hitmaker, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, recounted the moment Swift's team reached out after listening to their cover of Cruel Summer

Swifts team even invited them to see her perform during one of her Eras Tour dates in Melbourne in February.

'Taylor's publicist took a moment to tell me personally that Taylor was really impressed with my cover. That alone was incredible. I didn't need to perform at the shows to feel validated,' G Flip shared with Daily Mail Australia this week.

The drummer's cover had caught Swift's attention on Instagram, sparking a hopeful petition by G Flip's mother for an opening act opportunity.

Although it didn't materialise, the recognition was a significant accolade.

'The idea that she not only watched but enjoyed my work is mind-blowing. It validates the effort and passion I poured into it,' G Flip reflected.

G Flip also revealed the weirdest thing about global fame is the strange messages they receive on Instagram.

'The variety of DMs, especially the odd ones from men hilariously missing the mark and forgetting that I am married always gives me a laugh. It's a weird and funny part of this journey,' they remarked.

G-Flip is back in Australia to help launch the rebrand of Pepsi.

The iconic company is celebrating their new identity by not only refreshing their own look, but also reinventing conventional fashion classics too.
