Bodies of two young men recovered from Linn of Tummel waterfall beauty spot

Police Scotland said enquiries are ongoing but there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

The bodies of two young men have been recovered from a waterfall beauty spot in Perthshire.

Emergency crews were alerted to two men, aged 22 and 26, in the water at the Linn of Tummel waterfall at around 7pm on Wednesday.

Police Scotland said the bodies were recovered from the water following a search.

The force said there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, however there would not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding these deaths.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
