Quentin Tarantino has stepped away from The Movie Critic after having “simply decided” that a different project will be his tenth and final film, according to reports.

Tarantino, the celebrated director of Pulp Fiction and Inglourious Basterds, was said to be reuniting with Brad Pitt for the film, with other actors from his previous works also rumoured to be linked to the project. Filming was said to be set to begin this year.

The director, 61, spoke about the film in May, saying it would be based on a man who “used to write movie reviews for a porno rag” and was “rude as hell”.
