A concert Sunday at the Palace Theatre will feature nostalgic tunes, including by The Marcels. The show will wind the clock back with classic doo wop and rock ‘n’ roll from the region.

Whether it’s fun or fundraising, there’s something to do for all ages in Westmoreland County this weekend.

Pittsburgh Oldies All-Stars

On Sunday, the Palace Theatre, 21 W. Otterman St, Greensburg, will offer up an afternoon of nostalgic tunes. Featuring The Jaggerz, Chuck Blasko’s Vogues, The Marcels, The Skyliners and Pure Gold, the concert will wind the clock back will classic doo wop and rock ‘n’ roll from the region. Enjoy the greatest hits of this all-star lineup!

The show starts at 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets start at $38 and can be purchased online. More information can be found at thepalacetheatre.org.

Harry Potter party

Something magical for the whole family will be happening at the Lamp Theatre, 222 Main St, Irwin, this Sunday.

The theater will host a Harry Potter party beginning at 1 p.m., followed at 2 p.m. by a showing of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” Funds from the general admission tickets to the event will benefit the Latrobe Fourth of July Celebration.

The party will feature lots of fun activities for all ages, such as character meet-and-greets, games, a potion show and a scavenger hunt. There also will be plenty of photo opportunities. Concessions and cocktails will be offered for purchase, as well. The event even features a wizarding marketplace. Costumes are encouraged!

Local photographers show

The Greensburg Art Center, 230 Todd School Road, will present the opening of “Anything Goes,” an exhibition that will include work by members of the Westmoreland Photographers Society.

The show will include portraits, landscapes and still life photos in color and black and white. It will be on display until May 31 at the Greensburg Art Center.

The opening reception is open to the public and will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. There will be some refreshments and a limited cash bar. The event will take place at the Center’s gallery at 230 Todd School Road, Greensburg.

Walk MS

On Saturday, starting at Twin Lakes Park Activity Center, 111 Nature Center Lane near Latrobe, participants can walk for a good cause.

Walk MS, with the National MS Society, has one-mile and three-mile accessible routes to walk. The goal of the walk is to raise funds and make a difference in the lives of everyone living with multiple sclerosis.

The site will open at 10 a.m., with programming beginning at 10:45 and the walk starting at 11 a.m. Registration can be done ahead of time online or same-day onsite. To learn more, visit events.nationalmssociety.org.

‘Unsinkable: Titanic Untold’ to be shown at the Diamond Theatre

Partially filmed in Ligonier, the film “Unsinkable: Titanic Untold” will play this weekend at the Diamond Theatre, 210 W. Main St., Ligonier. They will host three showings, at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 7 p.m. Sunday.

The PG-rated film tells the story of an investigation after the disastrous sinking of the Titanic in 1912.

Tickets will be sold 30 minutes before each show time. Regular seats are $8, and “Sweet Seats” (which recline) are $12. More information can be found at diamondtheatre.com.
