Strictly Come Dancing's Giovanni Pernice has received an outpouring of support from fans after announcing he'll be taking a 'little break'.

The 33 year old dancer, who is currently touring the UK with his own headline show, confirmed the news as fans eagerly await confirmation of his return to the dance competition this year.

Since joining Strictly in 2015 and winning the trophy in 2021 with actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, Giovanni has been busy with His Let Me Entertain You UK tour that kicked off at the Beck Theatre in Hayes in mid-January.

The tour is set to conclude on April 30 at New Victoria Theatre in Woking, before Giovanni hits the road again in June for a two-man show with Strictly judge and friend Anton Du Beke.

Despite his future on Strictly remaining uncertain as the BBC has yet to announce its professional line-up for 2024, Giovanni has already revealed plans for a hiatus next year following another round of touring, the Mirror reports.

Giovanni shared the news on Instagram, posting a poster for 'Giovanni - The Last Dance', which will commence on January 20, 2025, once again at the Beck Theatre in Hayes, and conclude on May 4, 2025, at the prestigious London Palladium.

The dancer told his Instagram followers: "I have had a wonderful time this year on my solo tour and already looking forward to even bigger and better next year! "

He further urged his 1.1 million fans to book their tickets early as he added: "After performing in front of over half a million people for seven years in row, I plan to take a little break after next year's tour, so book your tickets in advance for 'GIOVANNI - THE LAST DANCE' now at www.giovannipernice.com.."

His loyal fanbase quickly voiced their support for the Italian dancer and expressed hope that he wouldn't retire from dancing for too long.
