Shock showdown

EastEnders is lining up dramatic scenes next week following Nadine Keller's baby bombshell. Soap fans will recall that Jay Brown grew close to escort Nadine, who has a striking resemblance to Lola Pearce, last year following the death of his beloved wife. Nadine dropped the bombshell that she is pregnant with his baby this week, leaving Jay flustered over what to do.

Next week will air the aftermath of the bombshell as it's the day of London Marathon but a deflated Jay insists he isn't going to run following Nadine's revelation but Honey Mitchell persuades him otherwise. Later in the week, after careful consideration, Jay invites Nadine over.

However, it's not long until the pair start arguing when a sceptical Jay questions the baby's paternity and whether he is actually the father. An insulted Nadine insists the baby is his and then drops another bombshell... they're expecting a baby girl.

After the bombshell, Jay promises to be there for her and the baby, handing over money to support her with the pregnancy. Later in the week, Nadine visits Jay, Honey and Callum to apologise for causing upset with Lola's daughter Lexi about the pregnancy. However, Nadine is overcome with guilt when she realises how serious Jay is about the baby. In a bid to bring everyone together, later in the week, Jay treats Lexi and Nadine to lunch at The Vic so the pair can bond but Lexi can't contain herself as it's clear a rift is starting to grow between the pair...

Double exit?

EastEnders could be lining up two exits from the BBC soap next week, including a character who debuted on the show 18 years ago. Fresh from a twist that saw Dean Wicks framed for a crime he did not commit, new spoilers have teased there could be an exit on the cards. Not only that, but another character linked to the storyline looks set to bow out for good too.

Next week, Dean will once again plead his innocence over Keanu Taylor's murder, after evidence appears to point to him as the killer. Of course viewers know that Dean is not the killer, while he could finally face justice for his actual crimes if he does go to prison for the killing of Keanu.

The other exit appears to be his daughter Jade, amid her recent plans to move to Pakistan with her mum Shabnam Masood. Despite her not leaving for a while due to illness, her plan has always been to move away - but Dean got in the way.

Spoilers do seem to suggest she does leave next week, as the Slaters throw her a leaving party amid her dad Dean being in a cell. There's a reunion for the father and daughter before she goes as he begs her to believe him that he did not kill Keanu, but will she believe him?

EastEnders is set for emotional scenes next week when one character gets a devastating diagnosis. Soap fans will recall that only recently, it was revealed that Whitney Dean paid off Britney's mum to informally adopt her. Whilst Whitney and Zack are licensed foster parents, she was adamant it would take way too long for the formal process to go through and decided she'd pay Britney's mum to take her off her hands.

However, Whitney's partner Zack Hudson has no idea about the secret arrangement, believing they are just fostering and temporarily housing the young girl until social services find something more permanent. In upcoming scenes, Whitney's secret could be exposed as Britney gets a devastating diagnosis.

Zack and Whitney are shocked to discover that Britney has Type 2 Usher Syndrome following their trip to the hospital and are devastated when the doctor shares that the condition will lead to sight and hearing impairments. Later in the week, Whitney is devastated as she tries to learn more about Britney's condition meanwhile Zack worries that the added stress is too much for Whitney whilst she's pregnant.
