Celebrity Big Brother star Stephanie Davis has been rushed to hospital as doctors feared she has pneumonia.
The 31-year-old had been struggling with a cough for three weeks before seeking medical help. Stephanie was told she had a nasty infection and gave an update to fans. She said: “Had a bad chest infection for three weeks now. Went to the doctors today and they sent me to hospital thinking it was pneumonia, thankfully it’s just a really bad infection I can’t shift. My lovely mum sat with me for most of the day.”
Stephanie thanked her mum for her help as she added: “So grateful for all she does and has done for me. Felt like it was a therapy session. We ended the day on a good laugh, nearly wetting ourselves in the car park when she screamed thinking her car was bashed, dinted and scratched and then vigorously tried to wipe the mark off to realise it wasn’t her car. Love you mum, thank you for always being there.”
The actress, who joined the cast of Coronation Street as Courtney Vance last year, continued to share her health update. She said: “I’ve been put on steroids now (they never agree with me) and more antibiotics and something to break up my chest so hopefully can have a day cough free soon.”
Stephanie has been working on a career in music following her exit from Corrie. She is also known for playing Sinead O'Connor in Hollyoaks. The TV star is in a long term relationship with boyfriend Joe McKalroy. Stephanie wears a promise ring on her finger from Joe, who is yet to propose.
The mum-of-one welcomed her son Caben from her previous relationship with Jeremy McConnell, who she met on Celebrity Big Brother. She appeared on the reality show back in 2016, where she came second. At the end of last year, Stephanie revealed she had been recording her debut album in Memphis.
She shared a snap of herself alongside Hollywood actor Jamie Campbell Bower and some of her team as she gushed on Instagram: "So good to see Jamie pop into the studio today. How good was he in Stranger Things? Super talent actor and super talented artist. So much love for you. Twas a blessed day."
Stephanie previously announced her blossoming music career to fans as she explained: "I am extremely excited to announce that my debut single will be released in May next year! I am about to fly out to America to start recording my debut album with some of the worlds best producers! This album is dedicated to the fighters, the parents and all of the people who've overcome the impossible. This music is for you. So much has gone into the whole album & I really hope you all relate & love it as much as I do."
She has also shared her love for boyfriend Joe to her followers as she once shared: "You bring out the best version of myself, you’re my biggest motivator and supporter and without you I’d be lost. You are my better half and more! You’re the only person on this planet that is my calm! When I’m with you my head stops, I don’t think... I can just BE (and as you know that’s a miracle haha). My safe haven."
