In one clip, Wrexham striker Palmer was spotted in the background as Reynolds shared the trailer on his social media pages, with one comment replying: "If you squint..."

The Hollywood actor replied: "Keen eyesight."

"I am not here to confirm or deny, unfortunately - I can't say whether I'm in it or not," he replied live on air.

McCoist probed further: "So you're just in the trailer? You didn't do the full thing?"

Brazil chimed in and said: "Come on, Ollie, we are not talking about selling ice cream and drinks here. Are you in it or not?"

Palmer continued to be coy, but might have given the game away when he replied: "I am not allowed to speak about it too much.

Humphrey Ker expects Wrexham to feature in Deadpool 3 and reveals what Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney would do for promotion

Palmer was spotted in the trailer as Reynolds' character Deadpool walks over to meet Wolverine at a bar.

The forward joined Wrexham in January 2022, signing from Wimbledon to aid their push to promotion from the National League at the time.

Reynolds and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney purchased the club a year earlier and have overseen massive success with the Welsh outfit.

Since then, the Dragons have secured back-to-back promotions, going from non-league to League One within the Hollywood duo's three years in charge.

Reynolds and McElhenney have also released a popular docuseries , Welcome to Wrexham, which has propelled the club into the spotlight across the world.
