Manchester United Fans Slam Erik Ten Hag for Ruling Out Title Race Next Season

Ten Hag’s comments have infuriated fans, despite the squad currently leading Arsenal by a substantial 24-point margin. Supporters have flocked to social media to vent their anger with the team’s lackluster play this season.

Regarding the team’s future, Ten Hag said, as the Sun noted, “We are not competing for the top four this year, but I think we will be when everyone is available.” I have no doubts about that. Having said that, there are some teams.”

“It is not anymore just a two-horse or three-horse race in the Premier League, there is Villa, there is Spurs, there is Newcastle. So many good teams – six or seven teams who all can compete. Chelsea – don’t forget them.”

The manager’s admission that Manchester United is not currently in a position to compete for the top spots did not sit well with many fans, who took to social media to express their disappointment and frustration.

One fan expressed their frustration on X, stating, “It will be 3 years and about 600 million spent just for us to go backwards.”

Another fan voiced their discontent, saying, “Next season hasn’t even started and he’s already given up on it.”

Others pointed fingers at the team’s signings and management, with one fan remarking, “That’s down to your signings and management.”

Amidst the criticism, some fans accused the manager of “writing off next season” prematurely, despite overseeing a season without any trophies and disappointing results.
