Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has assured the people of the state that the forthcoming congress of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will be free of rancor.

Speaking through the party’s spokesperson, Andetarang Iramae, shortly after his meeting with the state working committee of the party on Wednesday in Jalingo, the state capital, he expressed confidence that more people would soon abandon their political parties and embrace the PDP.

The meeting, which brought together the state working committee of the party, was observed to be in preparation for the forthcoming congresses of the party.

Assuring the people of the readiness of the party to organize free and transparent congresses, the party’s leadership in the state, as made known by him, is committed to bringing rapid development to all parts of the state.

He maintained that his leadership would positively impact the lives of the people, hence the need for all Tarabans, irrespective of political parties, to support him to succeed.

The governor, who disclosed that issues concerning the growth of the PDP were discussed at the meeting, said his administration is working tirelessly to ensure that development cuts across all parts of the state.

Aligning their support with the governor, some of the committee members who shared their views with DAILY POST debunked the rumours making rounds that the center could no longer hold for the party.

“PDP in Taraba is intact and will forever remain one indivisible family that will continue to emerge victorious in both national and local government elections,” said one of the committee members who preferred anonymity.
