LOCAL residents have been left gutted after a beloved Scottish store announced its closure after 34 years.
Broad Street Stores in Stirling pulled down the shutters for the final time this week.
The convenience store has shut down as owner Keith McDowall heads into retirement.
A post on Facebook announced to customers that the shop was now closed.
It read: "And after 34 years, Keith McDowall's Broad Street Stores has shut for the final time.
"Keith would like to say 'a big thank you to everyone over the years, it has been a pleasure'."

Locals were gutted to hear the news of the closure.
But many sent the owner well wishes with his retirement.
One person said: "Happy retirement Keith! Best, most generous corner shop owner I've ever come across."
Another wrote: "Happy Retirement Keith. 34 years... Brilliant memories growing up in this street. Never be another like you! All the best."
