Prince William may be the future King but it seems his wife Kate Middleton will always keep him grounded by highlighting his bad habits.

Everyone has their flaws and it seems the Prince of Wales is no different, much to Kate's frustration and their cleaners no doubt.

The Princess of Wales let slip her biggest pet peeve of her husband's when the couple were visiting an RAF base in Cyprus back in 2018.

While there, they opened up a new recreation facility as William jokingly warned the recruits, "Keep the pizza off the sofas".

Kate quickly hit back: "You're a nightmare with that."

However, it seems the mum-of-three's fight to keep their furniture crumb free is an ongoing one as the couple are known to enjoy regular takeaways.

During an interview with BBC Radio 1 in 2017, the Princess of Wales was asked if the family ever eat takeaways and if so, what was her top choice.

She replied: Absolutely, and curry, definitely. It doesn't usually get ordered to the palace, we tend to go and pick it up," before jokingly saying "not ourselves!"

While Kate enjoys her food spicy, William admitted he is more partial to a milder dish which he told footballer Peter Crouch on his podcast in 2020.

He told Peter he's "not a vindaloo man put it that way" and prefers a chicken masala.

While speaking on Radio 1, William also revealed he enjoys Nando's after being introduced to the restaurant by his police protection officer.

Despite having access to some of the world's finest cuisines at their fingertips, takeaways are a popular treat within the Royal Family with the late Queen also enjoying the odd one.

However, Her Majesty's favourite dish was created much closer to home as she would apparently send her footman to pick up a fish supper for her while she was in Scotland.

An insider previously confirmed to Fabulous: "She very occasionally treated herself to fish and chips when at Balmoral. A footman is dispatched to get it from the local town of Ballater."

The late Queen was also said to have surprisingly enjoyed kebab in the past as royal correspondent Jayne Seymour revealed that Krazy Kebabs takeaway in Swaffham got a delivery order to Sandringham House.

The delivery driver told Jayne: "I assumed the food was for a servant. But when I got to the entrance a butler took it and said it was for the Queen.

" I hope she enjoyed it – we are known for the best kebabs in Norfolk."

However, King Charles is definitely more likely to sway towards Italian cuisine.

Back in November 2019, during a trip to Scotland, he was given a pizza from a member of the public as he greeted crowds in St Boswells.

Chef Erminio Di meo told the Press Association: "I wanted to give him the pizza as he is such a big part of this country. I said, 'it's a margherita'. I believe he said, 'it's my favourite'."
