Ryan Reynolds honoured Wrexham AFC goalkeeper Ben Foster for his dignifies retirement.

During a recent episode of the documentary series Welcome to Wrexham, Reynolds and Rob McElhenney praised Foster his decision of retirement.

The series, now in its third season, tracks the progress and stories of football club.

The episode, which premiered on May 2, 2024, featured the announcement of Foster's retirement.

Reynolds said during the episode, "I thought it was generous. Incredibly generous thing to do. So few people know when to call it."

Rob also chimed in with a humorous comparison to his ongoing work on the TV show "It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia," joking about the lack of dignity in overstaying one’s welcome.

Reynolds further expressed his deep respect for Foster, not only as a player but also as a person, stating, "I have immense respect for Ben and who he is as both a player and person.

He added, "He’s a huge reason we’re here in the EFL."
