Jeremy Strong learned an important lesson on Succession: how to dress like a .0000001-percenter. And at Monday night’s Met Gala, the actor proved that becoming Kendall Roy left a lasting impression on his wardrobe. Strong wore a custom suit from Loro Piana, a leading label in the stealth wealth movement, along with a timepiece from Richard Mille, a brand that represents the exact opposite of stealth wealth.

Richard Mille is most famous for its unmistakable sports watches, which have been referred to as the “Billionaire’s Handshake.” Strong is a longtime fan of the brand’s timepieces. His character Kendall wore Richard Mille’s RM 67-01 in Succession’s fourth and final season. Strong also wore RM at the Met Gala last year.

Strong stuck with RM for 2024, but still managed to up his game dramatically this time out. This is the Eldest Boy! In the world’s second-thinnest watch! Strong is wearing the RM UP-01, which set the record as the thinnest watch in the world when it was released in the summer of 2022. The watch is just 1.75 millimeters thick—barely larger than two credit cards stacked together. (Bulgari released a watch that’s .05 millimeters thinner just last month.) The Richard Mille is a statement-making watch that stands out on a night everyone is trying to put their sartorial stamp on.

In addition to the show-stopping watch on his wrist, Strong also debuted a couple of bold style moves on his head: a truly excellent mustache and a single Sidney Garber earring. “Jeremy Strong is wearing one dangly earring and I bet you sickos like that, don't you??” Vulture tweeted. Sicko here!

Strong is just one of many attendees who took their timepieces seriously at this year’s Met Gala. The “Garden of Time” theme inspired folks like Ben Simmons and Tyla to carry accessories like a clock briefcase and an hourglass. Strong didn’t need any gimmicks, though—just an extra-special watch.
