A man was killed in a horror double stabbing that also left a 16-year-old boy in hospital.

Police said they were called to a property in N13, Enfield at around 12.30am this morning. Both the Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service were in attendance, but despite the best efforts of paramedics, the man couldn't be saved. The victim, who is in his late 50s, died at the scene. Officers said that his next of kin have been informed.

Another victim, a 16-year-old boy, was treated for stab injuries but thankfully is condition is not thought to be serious, according to the police.

Cops arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of murder and of causing grievous bodily harm and took him to a police station in north London.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command leads the investigation and said: "I understand the shock that an incident like this will cause the local community and I want to thank them for the patience while we have carried out our work at the scene.

“All of those involved were known to each other, an arrest has been made and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

“Residents will continue to see both specialist and local officers in and around the location in the coming days; if you have any concerns or information that you think could assist then please speak to them, contact your local policing team or call 101.”
