Police investigate possible stabbing at 24 Hour Fitness in Miami Gardens

Gym confirms incident occurred between 2 members

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – An argument between two gym members turned into a stabbing injuring a man on Thursday night in Miami Gardens.

The stabbing was outside the 24 Hour Fitness, at 19731 NW 27 Ave., and the gym closed temporarily.

A spokesperson for 24 Hour Fitness confirmed to Local 10 News in a statement Friday that the incident involved two gym members.

“We can confirm there was an incident at our Miami Gardens location between two members. There was an injury, and the victim was transported to a nearby medical facility,” the statement read. “Our thoughts are with the victim, and we hope for a speedy recovery. We are unable to comment on an active police investigation and request additional questions be directed to the City of Miami Gardens Police Department.”

Miami Gardens police have not yet released further details about the incident.
