Lauren Bolton's connection to evil Nathan Curtis has finally been revealed on Coronation Street tonight.

Teenager Lauren went missing earlier this year, with the police presuming she was killed. When they searched her flat, they found a lot of blood, which they said was the result of a violent attack. Whilst the body has yet to be located, innocent Roy Cropper has been charged with Lauren's murder - but if we know he didn't do it, who did?

Earlier this week, Bethany Platt was stunned when she spotted Nathan Curtis - the man who groomed and abused her - back in Weatherfield. Whilst Daniel Osbourne tried to reassure her that it couldn't be him, tonight she realised that it was Nathan who was back - and she was immediately suspicious that it was him who attacked and murdered her.

Tonight, Bethany went to confront Nathan about what she thought he had done to Lauren. In her anger, she stole his phone and headed straight to the police station - after realising he had an O-Vidz subscriber account.

She was horrified by this fact and took her evidence to DS Swain and the team, where it was soon revealed that Nathan was following Lauren on her O-Vidz account. Whilst Bethany was convinced this was proof he killed her, DS Swain revealed to her that Nathan had attended the police station voluntarily and denied he had attacked or killed Lauren. He explained that he had had an alibi for that night, leaving the police no choice but to let him go.

Whilst Nathan's connection to Lauren has been revealed, fans are predicting a huge twist on the show. One wrote: "that'll be a burner phone that Joel gave Nathan but not before he subscribed to Lauren's ovidz #Corrie," whilst a second added: "Wouldn't suprise me if Nathan didn't do things by the book when it came to his release. This is why I think he used Joel to help with his release hence the cover name "Joe or Joel." A third shared: "plot twist, Nathan & Joel are in it together #Corrie."

Actor Chris Harper - who plays Nathan - teased more about his return in a recent interview. He shared: "All the signs are there – the similarities in Lauren's behaviour before she disappeared, her vulnerability, all really ring bells with what Bethany went through.

"It wasn't so long ago that Bethany was at a petrol station on a motorway about to be smuggled over to Europe, so we know that Nathan's ruthless and things could have been even worse for Bethany. I think if you watch that slippery slope, you recognise the behaviour. You recognise the situation she was in, and it could definitely be Nathan who's been involved in one way or another."
