The sunny weather is back and, with that, plenty of us will be looking to get out of the house and go on an adventure or two over the next few weekends. Across our region, we're blessed with plenty of great spots to visit and explore.

There's no better way to end a trip out than with a visit to a brilliant country pub. Some of these country pubs have been run by the same family for years and years and have become firm favourites, and fixtures within the community.

Recently, we asked you to name your favourite country pub in Nottinghamshire. After going through hundreds of votes, we've narrowed the selection down to just a few of the most popular.

Now, we're looking to crown the definitive best country pub from across our region. To do that, we're going to need your help.

We want you to vote for your favourite from across the five most popular selections in our poll. There may be plenty of reasons this particular pub is your favourite.

The person who serves drinks might have known your name since you were young, or there are always a few people who are always there, sitting in the same spots. Some folks like these quiet country pubs better than the noisy ones in the city. Or maybe it's cheaper to have a few drinks there than to pay for a taxi back from town.

No matter why you like it, we want you to tell us about your favourite country pub. The pubs available in the shortlist are:

  • The Unicorns Head, Langar

  • Dovecote Inn, Laxton

  • Durham Ox Inn, Orston

  • The Anchor, Plungar

  • The Four Bells Inn, Woodborough
