Maryland and Princeton will meet in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday evening in College Park.

The seventh-seeded Terrapins (8-5) are coming off a loss in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals to Penn State.

Sophomore attack Braden Erksa leads Maryland with 36 points on the season; his 22 goals are tied for a team-high with senior attack Daniel Maltz.

The Tigers (11-4) find themselves in the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive season, having defeated Penn to win the Ivy League and clinch an automatic bid. They enter the NCAA Tournament riding a four-match winning streak.

Junior attack Coulter Mackesy leads the Tigers with 61 points and 39 goals on the season.

This will mark the second matchup between the two teams this season. Back on Feb. 24, Maryland defeated Princeton, 13-7. In fact, the Terrapins have won the last seven meetings, including a 13-8 victory in the NCAA Tournament semifinals in 2022.

The winner will advance to the quarterfinals, where either No. 2 Duke or Utah awaits.
