If you're looking for something different to do this summer, a special boat trip from a beautiful Cambridgeshire market town to a historic working mill might just be your answer.
The National Trust is running a special one-of-a-kind boat tour with St Ives Electric Riverboat Co that will depart from St Ives Quay and take you all the way to Houghton Mill.
The trip will take you down the River Great Ouse on an electric riverboat, passing some beautiful sites along the way like Holt Island Nature Reserve, Houghton Meadows and the pretty village of Hemingford Abbots.

The boats are available for several dates in May, June and July. The trip will end with a guided tour of Houghton Mill. This historic mill dates back to the 18th century and is miraculously still in working order.
It has three floors of traditional machinery with milling demonstrations on select days. You will have three hours at the historic mill to enjoy the tour and the Tea Room that serves food and drinks all day.
You could even spend some time looking around the delightful village of Houghton that has plenty of pretty thatched cottages and stunning meadows before the return boat ride.
Tickets cost £25 for non-national Trust member adults and £20 for non-National Trust member children. It drops to £20 and £15 for members. Learn more here.
