"Champions, that's who we are."

That phrase full of intent and swagger was, two years ago, very much the second hit of an all-time speech from Ange Postecoglou. It was the day he told the world his team would be back in his second season "bigger, better because we never stop". That prediction came to pass but the former catchphrase is never more relevant as Celtic remain serial winners – and the rest of the world can't help but see it.

Rangers, from Tokyo to Timbuktu, are now sometimes merely painted as the opposition to the green and white trophy machine. Brendan Rodgers is back at the helm and dominating Celtic's eternal rival. The pulsating win over Philippe Clement's side was watched across the globe as the champions stand one point away from a 12th title in 13 seasons. Record Sport cast our net wide to catch the most pertinent takes as it's set to be another year of green and white ribbons on the Premiership trophy.

Belgium was switched on to see if the man who dominated in his own country could do the same in Scotland. And there's a sense in Clement's homeland there is real work to do for him.

"Philippe Clement lost a crucial city derby to Celtic 2-1 with Rangers on Saturday during the third round of the Championship Play-offs in Scotland. Due to the defeat in the Old Firm, Rangers are six points behind their city rivals and leaders in the Premiership, with two matchdays to go. Only a miracle can give Clement's troops the title. In a second half that had little to offer, no more goals were scored. Nicolas Raskin came on for Rangers after an hour. The two teams will face each other again in the Scottish Cup final in two weeks. That match seems to be the only chance for Rangers and Clement to win another trophy this season.

Sponichi (Japan)

The leading Japan outlet tune in for their fix of Daizen Maeda, Kyogo, Reo Hatate and Tomoki Iwata and leave with a goal description akin to a review of a Hitchcock thriller.

"They won Tennozan (legendary battle) against their mortal rival, and the difference between them and second place was 6 points. The championship will be decided in the next match against Kilmarnock on the 15th if there is a draw or better.

"In the Old Firm Derby, opposing supporters are currently not allowed to enter enemy territory. With the backing of a “perfect home” team, they launched a fierce attack from the start and scored the long-awaited opening goal in the 35th minute of the first half. O'Reilly made a flash with his left foot from slightly to the right of the penalty area. A blood-curdling shot with a low trajectory sailed right into the bottom right corner of the goal, giving them the lead."

Marca (Spain)

The Spanish outlet sensed the carnival atmosphere inside Celtic Park.

"Celtic are close to the Scottish Premier. Brendan Rodgers ' team defeated Rangers (2-1) in the Old Firm, giving a definitive blow to the title. They are six points ahead of their Glasgow neighbours with six to play and a better goal average (+59 to +52). However, the fact that the goal difference that counts in the event of a tiebreaker is the general one means that it is still not mathematical... but it is (almost) definitive. Celtic Park was a party. The 54th Scottish Premiership is on the way for Celtic."

beIN Sports (Middle East)

Celtic's utter dominance of Scottish football was felt way beyond Europe.

"Celtic have avoided defeat in all four Old Firm derbies in the Scottish Premiership this season (W3 D1), doing so for the first time since 2017-18. Rangers, meanwhile, have had five players sent off in the Scottish Premiership this campaign, more than any other team in the competition. Lundstram is responsible for two of those."
