The Detroit Lions are holding their rookie minicamp this weekend and one player who had a tryout with the team during the three-day event has earned himself a contract.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the Lions are signing wide receiver Kaden Davis, who was previously on the practice squad of the Arizona Cardinals during the 2023 season.

Davis was active for one game last year but did not play a snap in the contest. He totaled eight catches and one touchdown during the preseason.

The 25-year-old was originally signed as an undrafted free agent in 2022 by the Denver Broncos and spent his first season in the NFL on their practice squad.

Davis played his final collegiate season at Northwest Missouri State. In 2021, Davis tallied 44 receptions for 714 yards and 10 scores for the Bearcats. He also handled five kickoff returns during his time with the program.
