Jamie O’Hara says one Tottenham player has been poor all year

Tottenham’s fate was sealed on Tuesday evening as a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City made sure they won’t be playing Champions League football next season.

A campaign that started so brightly has ended in misery, and the inquest has started into why Spurs have been so poor in 2024.

Many fingers are being pointed at many players, and speaking on TalkSPORT’s live watchalong of Tottenham vs Manchester City on their YouTube channel, Jamie O’Hara has had a dig at one player in particular.

Indeed, after a poor pass by Dejan Kulusevski, O’Hara criticised the winger, claiming that he’s had a bad season.

Dejan Kulusevski has had a bad season

O’Hara spoke about Kulusevski, claiming that the £25m man has endured a poor campaign.

“Oh Kulusevski by the way, he’s had a bad season Kulusevski, he’s had a bad season,” O’Hara said.

Kulusevski has been underwhelming

Dejan Kulusevski has had an underwhelming season for Tottenham, and the reality is that he’s not been at the required standard for a little while now.

During his first half-season at Tottenham, Kulusevski was electric, he grabbed eight assists and five goals in just 18 appearances and he looked like an absolute gem.

However, despite only playing half of that campaign, that remains his best return in terms of assists and overall goal contributions in a season for Tottenham.

Kulusevski has never hit those heights again for Tottenham, and it may be time to start to wonder whether he ever will.

Was that early spurt of brilliance just a flash in the pan? After just six goals and three assists this season, you have to begin to question the winger and how good he actually is.

With the summer transfer window on the horizon, off the back of a poor season, perhaps Spurs will look to replace Kulusevski come the end of this campaign.
