Stormy Daniels Could Leave US If Trump Found Not Guilty: 'I Don't Think It Gets Better For Her'

Adult actress Stormy Daniels is a key person in the criminal trial alleging former President Donald Trump falsified business records.

Daniels said she wants to see justice play out and Trump to be held accountable. If he's found not guilty, she might be ready to leave the country.

What Happened: Even though she is done testifying in the criminal trial, Daniels is still closely watching the result of the jury trial against Trump.

Daniels' husband Barrett Blade was recently interviewed by CNN and shared that the duo might be leaving the U.S. if Trump receives a not guilty verdict from the jury.

"Either way, I don't think it gets better for her. I think if it's not guilty, we got to decide what to do. Good chance we'll probably vacate this country," Blade told CNN's "OutFront" Tuesday, as shared by the New York Post.

Blade, who is an adult film star like Daniels, said his wife, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, suffered from Trump supporters’ hate and it would likely continue regardless of the verdict.

"I know that we would like to get on with our lives. I know that she wants to move past this. We just want to do what I guess you'd say normal people get to do in some aspects but I don't know if that ever will be, you know, and it breaks my heart."

Why It's Important: Daniels was one of the key witnesses in the trial and could help the prosecution prove that hush money payments were made to her to silence her ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

It was revealed after Daniels' testimony that she wore a bulletproof vest while arriving at court out of fear.

"She was paralyzed with fear — not taking the stand or telling her story, but [of] what some nut might do to her," Daniels' lawyer Clark Brewster told CNN.

Daniels could remain a key figure in the case after the verdict is read and likely won’t be able to live a normal life in the U.S. for some time.
