TEMPLEGATE'S TIPS

Horse racing tips: Templegate’s NAP has been awesome for Willie Mullins and can lead home our man’s Yorkshire Cup 1-2-3

End the Dante meeting in style with the Treble bet

TEMPLEGATE looks to kick off the weekend in style with some very nice winners on Friday.

VAUBAN (3.45 York, nap)

He is high-class over hurdles and pretty good on the level too as his Royal Ascot win over this trip showed last season. He then won a Group 3 before not enjoying himself when sent off favourite for the Melbourne Cup. He hit the front two furlongs out before not staying the two miles and this trip looks perfect on the level.

1st Vauban
2nd Tower Of London
3rd Hamish

DEVOTED QUEEN (3.15 York, nb)

She has won both starts nicely for Charlie Appleby and looks capable of coping with this hike in class. She had no problem seeing out this mile when scoring at Kempton last time and has a lot more to come.

VANTHEMAN (5.20 York, treble)

He showed he has trained on from two to three when scoring sweetly on handicap debut at Newcastle 14 days ago. He ran well in a big sales race here last season and has plenty of speed for this minimum trip. He won’t have to improve much to land this under Tom Eaves.
