Police have released an update on a crash that shut a road for hours yesterday evening (Thursday). Officers shut the Bryntirion Road between Pentre Halkyn, near Junction 32A of the A55, and the Coast Road at Bagillt.

Yesterday a North Wales Police statement said: "Due to an incident on the Pentre Halkyn-Bagillt road/Bryntirion Road, it is currently closed. Please use alternative routes until further notice."

Today the force confirmed it was an overturned lorry, which had ended up in a ditch. Nobody was injured and the vehicle was recovered.

A police spokesperson also confirmed two incidents on the A55, one earlier at 3.28pm and another at 5.36pm, which caused traffic disruption, were broken down vehicles. Police were not required to take any action.
