Tom Brady may have snagged Greg Olsen's spot as FOX's top NFL analyst, but the former Carolina Panthers star didn't hold any grudges and was more than willing to offer broadcasting advice to the seven-time Super Bowl winner.

Brady is set to kick off his broadcasting career this September after inking a massive 10-year, $375 million deal with FOX. The legendary New England Patriots quarterback will team up with play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt on FOX's premier crew, taking over as the voice of "America's Game of the Week".

Despite many fans and critics feeling that Olsen was unfairly sidelined after demonstrating his knack for commentary, bringing insightful analysis and vibrant energy to FOX's coverage alongside Burkhardt, especially after stepping in to fill the shoes left by Joe Buck and Troy Aikman who moved to ESPN two years prior.

Yet, the 39-year-old Olsen displayed true sportsmanship by sharing his insights with Brady when the ex-Tampa Bay Buccaneers star reached out for tips.

"I had a chance to speak with Tom a couple of weeks ago, and he was just kind of picking my brain about the prep and the industry and what to expect and whatnot," Olsen shared with USA Today. "So, I don't know. Every guy has their own journey in sports broadcasting.

"I think everyone thinks it's easy. I think everyone thinks getting up there and calling a live football game for three hours, off the cuff and being able to get in, get out, deal with the flow of the game, the players, the schemes, the terminology.

"There's a lot going on during a game and I think some guys really transition to it well and take to it pretty quickly, and other guys haven't. We've seen a mixed bag of results over the last couple of years.

"So, obviously, his playing career and his resume and whatnot is an all-timer. So, we'll see how the year goes. I don't think there's any real correlation between being a great player or an average player, and how that correlates to being a great broadcaster or an average broadcaster. I think we've seen examples on both ends of that spectrum. So, we'll see how it all plays out."

Another report revealed Brady has been intensely preparing for this new role at FOX HQ in Los Angeles. The 46-year-old, who concluded his illustrious NFL career in 2023, has been going through old footage to refine his commentating skills and has been working with Burrkhardt, building their synergy as a commentating duo in the lead up to their autumn debut.

Additionally, earlier this year, Brady joined the NFL on Fox team for a bonding retreat in a beach-side locale. His ex-Patriots comrades Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman, both frequently featuring as FOX analysts, also joined the excursion.
