Manchester United player ratings vs Brighton

Andre Onana – 7

Made some decent saves, particularly in the first half. The Cameroonian shot-stopper ends his first Premier League campaign with a clean sheet and decent display.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 6

The worst of the defenders, but nothing too offensive. Could this be his last ever Premier League game for Manchester United?

Casemiro – 7

Amid recent criticism, Casemiro has silenced some of his doubters. He was a calm assured figure at the back and did very well next to both Martinez and Evans.

Lisandro Martinez – 7

Was excellent during his time on the pitch, especially considering how long he’s been out for. The Argentine has been sorely missed, and we pray he’s fit to play the FA Cup Final vs Manchester City.

Diogo Dalot – 8

Our likely player of the season had a fantastic game in red. He got the goal which decided the fixture, but was also defensively astute. A fine showing from the Portuguese full-back.

Kobbie Mainoo – 6

Nothing to write home about from Kobbie, but did play well in the middle of the park. He just oozes class and you expect a top performance from him each week. He’s a vital player heading into next week.

Sofyan Amrabat – 4

Despite being United’s best player against Newcastle and Arsenal, Sofyan Amrabat had a shocker at the Amex. He looked like he has for most of the season – out of his depth. This will probably be his last-ever PL fixture for the Red Devils who likely will not pay the £21m fee to sign on a permanent.

Amad Diallo – 6

Not his best game in red. Diallo couldn’t make an impact on the south coast. But, didn’t do anything wrong, and made some good passes.

Alejandro Garnacho – 6

Similarly to Diallo, the Argentine didn’t make too much of an impact. But by no stretch a bad game. It was surprising to even see him starting, we thought Ten Hag would rest ahead of next Saturday.

Scott McTominay – 5

Did a half-decent job in once again an unorthodox role, but failed to leave a real stamp on the game.

Bruno Fernandes – 6

Didn’t have his usual monumental impact on the fixture, but also didn’t really mess up. Did well in some attacking phases. A wise decision from Ten Hag to take the club captain off early though.

Jonny Evans – 6

Put in another good shift when called upon. Well in Jonny.

Rasmus Hojlund – 7

Grabbed himself a goal and offered something different up top. Rasmus Hojlund is back scoring!

Raphael Varane – 6

Nice to see Raphael Varane return, and he put in a good shift. Wasn’t tested really, so a walk in the park for the veteran centre-back.

Christian Eriksen – 6

Got an assist, if you can call it that. A decent runout for a man who has seriously struggled this season.

Marcus Rashford – 5

Didn’t make an impact on the game.
