Martin Lewis' MSE has warned Tesco Clubcard holders that they have only two weeks left to act or they could lose £17million worth of vouchers.

The MSE team warned that the supermarket vouchers are set to expire at midnight on Friday, May 31 and after this date they will no longer be valid. You can find out how many Clubcard points you have - and your vouchers - in Tesco's Clubcard app or online. To use your voucher, you can either print them at home and scan them at the till or scan the voucher on your app.

However, if you want to save your vouchers, the MSE team shared Martin Lewis' handy trick on how to extend them. All you need to do is make a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards page - not in store or on other Tesco pages - or donate to one of its partnered charities.

MSE explained: "Once you've done this, then the remaining balance is credited back to your Clubcard account as points. So if you spend 50p using a £5 Clubcard voucher, you'll get 450 points back, worth £4.50."

You can then swap your points for vouchers manually or wait for them to be converted with your next statement. The expiry date for these new vouchers will be two years in the future, meaning you've got longer to spend them. There is no minium spend for this trick, but the MSE team says you should aim to "shell out as little as possible" to make it worth it. For example, buying a 50p restaurant voucher, which is worth £1 at your chosen restaurant.

You will need to do this for each voucher, so MSe says it's "worth weighing up" if it's worth it for smaller denominations. It added: "For example, if you have got a £10 voucher it could be worth it. If you've got a handful of £1 vouchers, maybe less so."

The MSE team also warned that more than £27million in Rewards Partner codes - which are vouchers that have been exchanged to spend at Clubcard-linked businesses - are also set to expire over the next four weeks. The supermarket chain currently has over 100 Reward Partners including Disney+, Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, Pizza Express, Legoland and Zizzi.

If you choose to use them for a Rewards Partner, you get double the value of your points, so 500 points would be worth £5 in-store but £10 when spent with a Rewards Partner.

You need a minimum of 150 points to get a Clubcard voucher and shoppers get one Clubcard point for every £1 spent in stores and online. Drivers can also collect points when they buy fuel at a Tesco forecourt - you currently get one point for every two litres of fuel you buy. You can also get one point for every £1 spent on Tesco Mobile, one point for every £4 spent on a Tesco credit card, and one point for every £1 spent using a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card.
