1. Coety Bach
Rustic, cosy and oh-so idyllic, this quaint wooden cabin in Llandrindod Wells makes for the perfect winter escape for a weekend of long, crisp walks and hot chocolates next to the fire. Coety Bach looks, from the outside, like it has come straight out of a Hollywood Christmas romcom thanks to its floor to ceiling wooden features throughout the log cabin - both inside and out - and is the utlimate private sanctuary with stunning views of the hills.
Decorated with handcrafted wood, the abode, which sleeps two, features a king-sized bed that has been perfectly fitted in one of the cottage's nooks and is nestled below a beautiful stained glass window. You can read more here.
2. The Hyde
If you really want to get away to the middle of nowhere this luxury handcrafted cabin is perfect and it even comes with a hot tub. From its honeycomb-shaped windows to its bespoke wooden deck, The Hyde, near the Ceredigion coastline, which sleeps two people, is packed full of character.
One of only two cabins on the site you truly will be getting away from it all in the Teifi Valley. The Hyde, which is for adults only, has been handcrafted from local timber and has been built and furnished using reclaimed pieces and vintage finds.

3. Welsh Valley hideaway
A two-bedroom log cabin that offers the sense of outdoor living with indoor creature comforts. Just north of the Brecon Beacons National Park and nestling in the folds of the hills, guests can enjoy views on the spacious elevated decking accessed by double French windows from the lounge and from within the fully insulated and centrally heated cabin.
The cabin is made up of an open plan kitchen and lounge with double doors opening out onto a spacious decking. There is a double bedroom and a second bedroom with a full-sized bunk bed. 4. Wood Shack
Originally a writer's cabin, the book 'The Man Who Made Things out of Trees' saw owner Rob cut down a native ash tree to discover just how many things could be made from it. The outside space is fantastic and includes a huge oak deck for lazing and lounging and there is also the relaxing hammock by the stream.
Inside the shack, there's a cosy sofa for two, nestled by the wood-burning stove and the kitchen has been handbuilt. The bedroom has a proper double bed and the Wood Shack is in Abergavenny.

5. Herons Lake Retreat
Who wouldn't want to wake up to gorgeous lake views and the sounds of nature? Heron's Lake retreat is located in the beautiful Welsh countryside close to the quaint village of Caerwys, these stylish lodges boast individual charm and luxurious hot tubs – perfect for relaxing and exploring.
