Coronation Street viewers were gutted as they predicted a fan favourite may be killed off.

The popular ITV soap promise that next week's episodes are set to be 'deadly' as this year's Super Soap Week gets underway.

Fans of the show have since been discussing who could be killed as tensions begin to rise in Wetherfield.

Viewers were particularly concerned for the safety of Aadi Alahan as he was shown trying to book a holiday at a campsite to help Dev get over Natasha during tonight's episode.

A sneak preview of next week's episodes show how the Coronation Street teen is left fighting for his life after a horror car explosion.

And fans of the show on Twitter were begging that the character not be killed off as he was shown being so kind to his dad in the first part of Friday's double header.

A dramatic trailer released earlier on Monday warned how "no one is safe" in Wetherfield next week.

Weatherfield looks set to be hit by a torrential storm in the run-up to Halloween as we witness the ground open up beneath Jenny Connor and end on a terrified Leanne finding herself face to face with a murderous Harvey.

Coronation Street's deadly week of drama is set to begin on October 18.
