The pricing of the Pixel 6 series appears to have leaked again, but this time the suggestion is that the vanilla model might go on sale for as low as $599 in the US. Over the past few weeks, Google's Pixel 6 series has been leaked consistently, revealing everything from its design and key specs to camera details and the retail price in multiple markets.

According to a previous leak, the Google Pixel 6 is set to retail at €649 in Europe and might be priced somewhere around $799 in the United States. The Pixel 6 Pro has been rumored to cost in the ballpark of €899 for buyers in Europe, with those in the United States expected to pay out around $1,099. That suggested asking price is a tad on the high side considering the two Google phones would eclipse the well-received iPhone 13 and its Pro model. Google has already said that the Pixel 6 phones will be bonafide premium devices, further suggesting the price could be high.

However, it appears that the Pixel 6 series won’t be as expensive as previous leaks have predicted. According to alleged images of Target inventory listings shared on Twitter by M. Brandon Lee, the Pixel 6 might cost just $599 in the US before taxes. The Pixel 6 Pro might come with an asking price of $898, which is extremely competitive for the hardware on the table. Roland Quandt recently tweeted working Amazon links for the Pixel 6 Pro, which suggested an asking price of £849 and £949 in the UK for the phone’s 128GB and 256GB storage variants respectively. The official Pixel 6 launch event is just one day away, so take these leaks with a proverbial pinch of salt.

Google Finally Serious About Selling Pixel Phones?

If the aforementioned pricing pans out, the Pixel 6 would undercut the iPhone 13 mini by a good $100 and the iPhone 13 by a net $200 in terms of retail pricing. The Galaxy S21 begins at $799 in the US, which means Pixel 6 buyers will also be saving $200 on their Android flagship purchase by going with Google. Starting at roughly $900, the Pixel 6 Pro will be edging out the iPhone 13 Pro by a healthy $100 margin.

The Pixel 6 series will come equipped with Google’s custom Tensor chip that's said to boost the performance of AI and ML-based tasks, and is also touted to enhance the camera output. Both phones flaunt a rather unique design with a huge camera bump at the back, but the bright colors add to an interesting look. The Pixel 6 duo will be the first Google phones to rock an in-display fingerprint sensor and also the first to go with the center-aligned hole-punch design for the front camera. Speaking of which, the Pixel 6 is rumored to pack an upgraded 50-megapixel main shooter sitting alongside an ultra-wide shooter. In contrast, Google's Pixel 6 Pro has a triple rear camera setup that includes a periscope-style telephoto lens for a higher optical zoom range.
