1. At least, 30 persons were killed when bandits attacked a market in the eastern part of Sokoto State on Sunday. Traders and buyers at Goronyo weekly Market in Goronyo Local Government Area of the State, were reportedly killed in the incident.

2. President Muhammadu Buhari has told bandits that they should be ready for a massive defeat. Buhari, in a statement issued by his media aide, Garba Shehu, said the days of bandits were numbered because the capabilities of forces were being boosted by the acquisition and deployment of advanced equipment.

3. The Federal Government has accused the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, of inciting the violence which has gripped some parts of the country. This is contained in the evidence of the amended seven-count charges brought against Kanu before a Federal High Court in Abuja, where he is facing allegations of treasonable felony and terrorism.

4. There was tension at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Living Word Parish, Basin Road, Ilorin, Kwara, when Sina Babarinde, a member of the church, was gunned down. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Okasanmi Ajayi, who confirmed the incident on Monday night, said investigation was ongoing to arrest the perpetrators.

5. The Kogi State Executive Council has approved the appointment of Prince Mathew Alhaji Opaluwa as the Attah of Igala Kingdom. The council made the approval during the 6th meeting held at the Council Hall of the Government House in Lokoja on Monday.

6. Security forces have killed 10 bandits in Kwanan Bataru on the outskirts of Fatika in Giwa local government area of Kaduna State. Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan,
disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

7. Colin Powell, a former US Secretary of State and the first black Secretary of State, is dead. In a statement, the family said he died of COVID-19 complications. The statement also added that he had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

8. The Federal Government says it has taken delivery of the final batch of the 12 A-29 Super Tucano fighter jets expected from the United States. The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, disclosed this on Monday during an interview.

9. A National Assembly member representing Anambra North senatorial district, Senator Ifeanyi Uba, on Monday, asked a Federal High Court Abuja, for an order permitting him to visit leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu who is currently in the custody of the Department of State Service, DSS in Abuja.

10. A suspected blackmailer has allegedly released a sex video of Nigeria singer, Tiwa Savage and her boyfriend online. This development is currently generating social media reactions among fans of the singer.
