It's set to be a dramatic few days for Gabby Thomas on Emmerdale next week as she plans to leave the village for good.

Preparing to flee the Dales, Gabby (Rosie Bentham) invites herself to Laurel’s for a family dinner with the secret aim to say her own private goodbye.

After the lunch Gabby is left feeling overwhelmed with emotion, aware what she is about to leave behind.

Back at Home Farm, she finally snaps back at irrational Kim telling her she won’t be part of her baby’s life.

Gabby later tells Diane Sugden (Elizabeth Estensen) that they need to leave sooner rather than later, but it seems Diane may have other plans as Chas Dingle has offered to throw her a goodbye party.

Whilst sharing her box of Woolpack memories with Chas and her daughter Bernice, Diane found herself agreeing to Chas' offer.

Meanwhile, Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) offers to buy out Diane's stake in the bed and breakfast and the pair end up sharing a tender moment and it’s clear she and Pollard will miss each other more than they’re willing to admit.

Back at Home Farm, Gabby does her best to secretly pack while suffering from pains in her stomach.

As she tries to lug her suitcase out to the car, she crumples to the floor and starts going into labour, with no one around to help her.

With no battery on her phone and the house in darkness due to a power cut, will Gabby be found in time to be taken to hospital and give birth safely?

Diane has no idea what's happening and is busy sharing a moment with Bernice as they prepare to collect Gabby and escape from the village, but little do they know, Gabby’s plight as she fights her intense labour pains.
