Bianca Belair had the last laugh on WWE Raw as she took out Charlotte Flair with a steel chair after missing out on a chance to win the Women’s Championship.

The EST of WWE, who is days away from facing Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch for the gold at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, missed out on the chance to become Bianca Two-Belts after Flair got herself disqualified.

Charlotte kicked off the show on Monday night as she insisted she was going to beat Belair and retain her title when they met later in the evening.

Of course, the challenger had something to say about that as she joined the champ in the ring and vowed to win the gold and take it to Crown Jewel to become a double champion.

That wasn’t to be, but the two superstars delivered something special as they went all-out to put on a real show – and it resulted in a WrestleMania-level clash.

The energy and talent on display was truly special here, with the fans rightly chanting ‘this is awesome’ during a match which saw great action bell to bell.

In the end, the ending was the only low point as Charlotte got herself disqualified with a steel chair – although neither woman should have been taking the loss so it’s a relatively minor complaint.

Belair ended the night on top after taking the chair from Flair and blasting her with it, giving her all the momentum heading into another major title match at Crown Jewel.

Doudrop beats Shayna Baszler and Xavier Woods is in the King of the Ring final

The first match of the night saw Xavier Woods edge closer to his dream of winning the King of the Ring as he beat Jinder Mahal in the semi-finals.

The match was entertaining, with the result being absolutely the right call as the New Day man hit the elbow drop to progress to the final at Crown Jewel.

After a backstage interaction with Reggie – who was on the run with his 24/7 Title – Austin Theory ended up set for for a match with R-Truth, although It was actually Jeff Hardy facing the former NXT star rather than Truth as the pair had a great sprint before Theory picked up another big win.

Afterwards, the Charismatic Enigma got a measure of revenge as he hit the Twist of Fate and took a selfie with the rising star.

Big E and Drew McIntyre were once again unlikely partners trying to get along as they faced Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode in a good tag team bout.

In the end, the WWE Champion got tagged in and hit the Big Ending on Roode for the win, and starred down his Crown Jewel challenger.

Mansoor beat Cedric Alexander in another very fun sprint, albeit one that makes you wonder if there was a plan behind getting the Hurt Business back together when they did.

After the bell, Mustafa Ali came out looking dapper as he vowed to wipe the smile off his former tag team partner’s face – but a fired-up Mansoor hit back and promised to beat Ali in Saudi Arabia.

Goldberg and Bobby Lashley had a sit-down interview before their No Holds Barred match later this week, with the former insisting his death threats are promises – and the All Mighty points out it’s criminal.

However, he won’t get the authorities involved, and Lashley eventually gets Goldberg’s attention by bringing up his son and promises to make his rival beg for mercy on Thursday night.

Bobby walks out, and Goldberg has a corker of a line as he says: ‘Kill you Thursday!’

RK-Bro beat The Street Profits by disqualification this week as the two put on a great match despite the ending, which came when AJ Styles and Omos got involved to cost their Crown Jewel opponents.

It should also be noted just how good Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins are, with the former quite rightly touted as a future breakout star and the latter showing great potential too.

The Queen’s Crown tournament continued in a similar vein, as Doudrop caused a major upset by rolling Shayna Baszler into a pin to reverse the Kirifuda Clutch – but this was still less than three mintues.

Xavier Woods watched on as Finn Balor beat Mace, and Kofi Kingston came out to separate the King of the Ring finalists to stop them coming to blows before Thursday’s show.

*WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
