Adele and Oprah Winfrey

Adele is going all out for the launch of her new album 30, sitting down with Oprah Winfrey to spill all on the six years she’s been out of the public eye – and it’s going to look very similar to the chat show icon’s notorious bombshell interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The singer – who is well on track for the biggest number one of 2021 with her new single Easy On Me – will also perform some of her biggest hits and some new tracks from the upcoming LP in the two hour special, titled Adele: One Night Only.

What’s more, Adele and Oprah will be catching up right in the very same spot Meghan and Harry gave their interview back in March, in the presenter’s rose garden, according to Variety.

The special will be broadcast on November 14, five days before her album 30 will be released.

A UK broadcast date is yet to be announced, but could well follow the same pattern as the Harry and Meghan interview, which aired on ITV the following day to the US.

‘An evening to remember is coming your way. Don’t miss out, we’re counting the days. Every song you want and new ones to hear,’ an announcement revealed yesterday.

‘Like no other, she knew we needed her this year. Emotional, powerful, surprising… oh wait did we mention there’s an interview with Oprah!?’

Adele’s Breathe on Me is currently outselling the entire top 10 singles combined in the UK and broke numerous records on its release last Friday, October 15.

She’s already teased her new music will cover her divorce from charity boss Simon Konecki in 2019, and is a letter to her son Angelo, explaining the break-up.

Adele: One Night Only will air on CBS on November 14.
