Jamie Redknapp and new wife Frida Andersson were joined by their nearest and dearest for a knees up following their surprise ceremony on Monday.

The 48-year-old footballing star and his pregnant 37-year-old wife celebrated their nuptials at Scott’s restaurant in London following their exchange of vows at Chelsea Registry office.

Jamie and Frida tied-the-knot five months after they announced they are expecting their first child together.

They arrived at the Mayfair restaurant on Monday with Frida stunning in her tasteful off-the-shoulder cream dress – while Jamie looked sharp in his wedding-day suit.

While celebrity guests included fellow football star Frank Lampard and his wife, Christine Bleakley.

The restaurant is famous for offering market-fresh fish, seafood and caviar and there is an elegant oyster and champagne bar inside the restaurant.

The wedding day marks the second marriage for both Jamie and Frida.

The football star was previously married to pop babe Louise, 46, between 1998 and 2018 – with the couple splitting not long after the singer was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016.

Meanwhile, Frida was previously married to 58-year-old American hedge fund manager, Jonathan Lourie – who previously featured on The Sunday Times Rich List in 2013 and is said to be worth £80 million.

Jamie and Frida have kept their romance largely out of the spotlight – with many fans shocked by their marriage as it was not revealed they were engaged.

Back in May it was revealed that Jamie and Frida were expecting their first child together.

A source said at the time: "Jamie and Frida are absolutely delighted.

"They’ve been virtually inseparable in lockdown, and their relationship has gone from strength to strength.

"The couple started telling their nearest and dearest last week. Jamie’s been telling pals he’s really excited to be a dad again — less excited about the sleepless nights, and nappy-changing."

They added that the pair will be "hands-on parents."

Guests attending the marriage on Monday were beaming as they were spotted leaving the Chelsea Registry Office.

Jamie’s dad, Harry, has previously discussed how he still ‘loves’ Jamie’s first wife, Louise.

Speaking to Jamie Theakston and Lucy Horobin on Heart Breakfast in 2019, Harry said: "I mean I love Lou and I was sad when it all went wrong. I really was.

"I mean me and Sandra absolutely loved her and her mum is still great – she knows Sandra talks to her mum all the time, Lynne – she’s lovely."

He added: "So yeah it was sad, but that’s life innit. What can you do? These things happen don’t they?"

Meanwhile, sources claimed last year that Louise was 'hurt' that Jamie had moved on following the end of their marriage.

A source told New! magazine last October: "Louise would love to find love with someone but she's taking it slowly.

"She's feeling quite hurt. It's always the guy who seems to rush quite quickly into another relationship and Jamie seems to have got quite serious with someone else.

"But she's concentrating on her career and getting her identity back."
